SEARCH ENGINE RENTALO.COM HELPS FIND HOLIDAY RENTALS FROM NEW YORK CITY TO SAN DIEGO
MIAMI, FL – A hotel in mid-town Manhattan for $150 a night, a 19th century townhouse on the city’s East Side at moderate prices, studio apartments in Murray Hill and near Grand Central Station at reduced prices are among the choices travelers heading for New York City will find when checking the online search engine Rentalo.com for rental accommodations for this holiday season and next year.
Whether it is New York or California, Florida or Arizona, Rentalo.com, the free online search engine and directory, quickly finds the type and price of accommodations travelers seek. The choices on Rentalo range from spacious condos in San Diego, California, to affordable accommodations in New York City. In San Diego, for example, Rentalo listings include a newly remodeled condo at a spa resort offering golf and tennis renting at $150 nightly.
Rentalo.com does not book or sell accommodations, but rather connects those seeking them to the available rentals. It does so by providing quick access to 120,000 rental homes, villas, apartments, condos, hotels, motels, guesthouses and bed & breakfast establishments at close to 15,000 locations in the U.S. and around the world.
In the U.S., Rentalo lists rental accommodations for winter and summer travel, for business travelers, for families, groups and business meetings. Right now, one newly remodeled condo with bedroom, living room area, kitchen and terrace in a spa resort complex in San Diego with 36 holes of golf is available through Rentalo for the special discount rate of $99 per night for a seven-night stay, Feb. 1-25, 2006. Rates at other times start at $150 for a three-night minimum.
In New York City, the choices include a boutique hotel, renovated in 1999, on the West Side near Carnegie Hall, Central Park and Columbus Circle. Rooms are small, but comfortable, and the price of $150 nightly includes continental breakfast. Rentalo's East Side townhouse, in a classic brownstone near Bloomingdale’s, has seven individually decorated suites and studios with prices starting at $160 for a minimum two-night stay. Most rooms have 10- to 12-foot ceilings, Oriental rugs and attractively covered queen-size beds.
The two East Side studio apartments, both with fully equipped kitchens, are each offering more than 20% price discounts in January and February. The Murray Hill studio with new furniture, dishes, sheets and towels has a $135 rate, a 22.9% discount, Jan. 4-Feb. 10, for a minimum stay of six nights. Rate for the other apartment, near Grand Central Station and the United Nations, is $160 for six nights, Jan. 16-Feb. 10. One past guest describes this apartment as “clean, comfortable, well located, modern and quiet… It is much bigger and costs less than most hotels in the city. This is a great alternative.” Regular rates at both apartments are $195 for a three-night minimum stay.
Browsers who search Rentalo's extensive inventory will find all kinds of accommodations in all price ranges in cities and resorts throughout the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Europe, Central and South America, Africa, Australia and Asia. Rentalo’s “define search” option allows users to check all categories of accommodations or narrow their choice to vacation rentals, hotels/motels or B&Bs, dates of travel and number of travelers. It also offers optional criteria that include number of bedrooms, types of services, entertainment features and amenities from swimming pools to sports facilities and children’s activities.
Those who sign up on Rentalo receive a free, twice-monthly online newsletter that offers short-term savings of between 20% and 80% from Rentalo published rates at many destinations. The “Best Values Accommodations” newsletter arrives with saving offers on properties at destinations the register user has listed. Once registered, travelers, travel agents and other travel planners can use Rentalo’s “destination-based” inquiry service that automatically completes quick searches and produces results in rental accommodations for both immediate booking and future travel.
Rentalo maintains users privacy by using “virtual” e-mails when sending out a general query so only when the registered user contacts the property or properties directly by e-mail or phone does the actual e-mail become known.
Rentalo’s extensive inventory of accommodations helps travel agents and travel planners quickly find and book rentals. The properties offer agent commissions of 5% to 20%. Agents and corporate travel planners, who register on Rentalo’s affiliates "publisher'' link program, can earn additional revenue in this program.
