This marketing study validates recent forecasts by travel experts on consumers’ increasing interests in comparison shopping, as well as other interesting vacation planning and theme trends for this top family vacation destination.
The study revealed that 81 percent of the vacation planners who inquired for a place to stay showed interest in comparison shopping among Belize vacation rentals, bed and breakfasts, and hotels. 56 percent of the travelers visiting Belize started their vacation planning at least 2 months prior to arriving to Belize, 22 percent 1 to 2 months in advance, and 17 percent were from last minute travelers inquiring within the last 30 days prior to arriving to their Belize lodging. Belize’s most popular vacation theme is family vacations with 42 percent of the inquiries requesting accommodations for families traveling with children, while 22 percent were from couples, and 8 percent from people traveling alone.
